Master of Education for professonial schools in Politics and Economy

As teacher in professional schools, people acquire large fields of functions, e.g. at profession schools, professional secondary schools, technical colleges, specialised secondary schools, vocational schools and in classes for the Berufsgrundbildungsjahr and the Berufsvorbereitungsjahr. Teachers train both adolescents and adults and therefore need broad subject-specific, educational, psychological, communicative and social competencies. Technische Universität Darmstadt is aiming at those competences providing the degree of Master of Education for professonial schools in Politics and Economy.

The degree program consists of four semesters in which educational science, didactics and internships at schools will be continued from the successfully achieved Bachlor of Education program. Additionally, studies in the subject of Political Science and Economy and didactics are provided. This degree is interesting for graduates from universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen) and other universities, who do already hold a degree in one of the subjects of the Bachelor of Education program.
