As a general rule, all lecturers at the Institute are available to advise students on questions relating to the study of political science. If you have any questions regarding your studies, study plans, study regulations, examination regulations, implementation regulations, etc., please first read the information on your degree programme.

The Institute offers student counselling. This takes place on Wednesdays, 09:30-11:30, in room S4|23/218 (Landwehrstraße, Institute Building of Political Science). Registration is not necessary.

Each study programme is headed by an examination board which may decide over proposals by individual students.

The examination board for the study programmes BA Politikwissenschaft, MA Governance und Public Policy, LaG Politik und Wirtschaft as well as MEd Politik und Wirtschaft currently consist of Prof. Dr. Michèle Knodt (chair), Prof. Dr. Jens Steffek (deputy chair), Prof. Dr. Kai Schulze , apl. Prof. Dr. Björn, Egner as representatives of research associates and a representative of the students.

Proposals to be decided by the examination board have to be submitted via the Studienbüro of the FB 2.

Concerning the Joint-Bachelor Programme, the joint examination board of the Fachbereich 02 is responsible. Proposals of individuals should be submitted via the Studienbüro of the FB 2.

Concerning the study programmes MA Internationale Studien/Friedens- und Konfliktforschung and MA Politische Theorie, the joint examination board of the University of Frankfurt and the TU Darmstadt ist responsible. Since the administration of those study programmes is maintanined by the University of Frankfurt, proposals should be directed to the Prüfungsamt of the FB 03 of the University Frankfurt.
