New Research Network (2020-2022): The role of Europe in global challenges: Climate change and Sustainable Development

2020/01/08

While the EU has advocated efforts towards sustainability for many decades, many global challenges remain. The US's withrawal from the Paris Agreement and China's growing strength in international climate politics have increasingly put the EU's leadership into question. The new research network, coordinated by Rosa Fernandez (University of Chester), Thomas Hoerber (ESSCA School of Management) and Jonas Schoenefeld (TU Darmstadt) will unpack the “Who,” “How” and “Where” of climate and sustainability policy in the EU. The network will organise three scientific workshops, which the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) supports with GBP 5000 in total.
