In 13 panels altogether, about 60 scholars from all over Europe are going to present their research on horizontal and vertical coordination in multilevel governance. The discussions and insights of the COST network in general and of the conference in particular are essential for the further development of European Governance.
In 13 panels altogether, about 60 scholars from all over Europe are going to present their research on horizontal and vertical coordination in multilevel governance. The plenary lecture will be given by Prof. Sean Mueller from the Université de Lausanne (Switzerland), presenting his most recent book “Shared Rule in Federal Theory and Practice: Concept, Causes, Consequence”, forthcoming with Oxford University Press. A hybrid roundtable with civil servants from regional governments working in institutions of intergovernmental coordination in Germany and in Scotland, moderated by Professor Nicola McEwen from the University of Glasgow, will discuss, whether and how the German Bundesrat can be a role model for the effective participation of subnational governments. The discussions and insights of the COST network in general and of the conference in particular are essential for the further development of European Governance.
