Darmstadt main station is served by ICE, IC, EC and Interregio trains on long-distance north-south routes (including ICE 4, 14, 26, 41, EC/IC 62, EC 213) and by Flixtrain (FLX 10).
In regional transport, Darmstadt is connected to the regional rail and express lines Frankfurt-Heidelberg and Mannheim (Main-Neckar-Bahn/RB67/68 and RE60), Wiesbaden/Mainz-Aschaffenburg (Rhein-Main-Bahn/RB75) and Darmstadt-Eberbach and Erbach (Odenwaldbahn/RB80 and 81) as well as the tram Bad Soden-Frankfurt-Langen-Darmstadt (S3).

You can reach Darmstadt via the A5 (Frankfurt am Main-Heidelberg/Basel) and A67 (Cologne/Wiesbaden-Mannheim) highways as well as the B3 (Langen-Bensheim) and B26 (Dieburg-Darmstadt) federal highways. Follow the signs in the direction of Darmstadt-Stadtmitte.

Frankfurt Airport is 25 km away and can be reached in approx. 20 minutes by car via the highway A5. The HEAG-Airliner shuttle bus (Terminal 1: Area B, Stop 14; Terminal 2: Directly at the exit) takes you comfortably and without a car from the airport to Darmstadt Central Station, Luisenplatz and the Convention Center (Single ticket 10,10€ / Surcharge only 3,80€). Alternatively, airport transfers are offered by cab. The fare is approx. 41€ (TAM airport transfer, tel. +49 6151 44722).
