Heike Böhler worked until September 2021 as a research associate and PhD candidate at the chair for “Models of Housing and Energy Policy” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kai Schulze and she coordinated the group “Energy-Climate-Environment (EKU) at the Institute for Political Science. Moreover, she was a research associate in the interdisciplinary working group within the acatech project Energysystems of the Future. ”Governance for a European Energy Union"
Her teaching and research interests focus on comparative public policy and policy analysis concerning climate policy and energy policy. In her PhD, she explores the influence of interest groups and private governance in climate politics.
Voluntary commitment to refrain from short-haul business flights
“I won’t do it under 1,000 km”. In order to reduce my carbon footprint as a climate researcher I signed a voluntary commitment. For all distances below 1000 km I will refrain from travelling by plane. Let us scientists set an example for climate protection.
