Ukranian PhD candidate Vladyslav Andrushko joins the Research Training Group “Standards of Governance”

Vladyslav Andrushko, a Ukrainian Ph.D. candidate formerly based at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv will join the RTG “Standards of Governance” on 1 October 2023.

Vladyslav holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Taras Shevchenko National University and in Law from the Academy of Advocacy of Ukraine. His current research interests are focused on the fields of political theory and methodology, particularly discourse analysis. More specifically, Vladyslav is employing Political Codes Analysis to establish interdisciplinary links between political science, linguistics and IT. In addition, he is interested in cultural globalization, anti-globalism, communitarianism, political power, advocacy, and lobbying. His dissertation project within the RTG “Standards of Governance” is provisionally entitled “Changing Standards of Governance and their Influence on Political Decision-making in Ukraine” and will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Jens Steffek at TU Darmstadt. Vladyslav’s fellowship will be funded under the DFG special programme for Ukraine.
