New Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence approved

„EU Expertise @ School“ starts as joint project of TU Darmstadt and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel)

The EU Commission (Erasmus+) has approved the new Joint Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “EU Expertise at School” (@school) of Prof. Knodt and Dr. Urdze (TU Darmstadt) as well as Prof. Dr. Pardo und Dr. Zahavi Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel), which constitutes an innovative transmission belt between the academic world of EU studies and the educational world of secondary and vocational schools. This joint effort formalises links between two Jean Monnet (JM) Chairs of Prof. Michèle Knodt at Technical University Darmstadt in Germany and Prof. Sharon Pardo at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) in Israel, both Jean Monnet Chairs ad personam. It will build a solid framework of transmitting academic debates and research into schools. Thus, it will promote joint research and networking among professors, scholars, early career researchers, students of EU Studies and secondary and vocational schools, focusing on the future of the EU as well as climate- and energy policy.
