Sukanya Janardhanan is a Humboldt Foundation International Climate Protection Fellow working on Urban Climate Governance with Prof. Dr. Markus Lederer at the Institute of Political Science. Her main focus is on understanding barriers to the implementation and institutionalization of climate policy. She has an educational background in Political Science and Public Policy. Prior to this fellowship, she worked with various local and state governments in India on solving challenges of waste management and air pollution. Her core skills include cultivating government partnerships, programme design and implementation, policy research, and grassroots organising.
