The chair International Relations analyzes actors and structures of global governance. Our research focus is on transformations in the fields of climate, environment and development politics. In particular, we are interested in questions related to institutional change and power.

The current research foci of the Chair International Relations are located at the interface between environmental, climate and development policy and concentrate on institutional issues in developing and emerging countries. Furthermore, we are researching on the politicisation of climate policy, the geopolitics of renewable energies as well as climate engineering and the role of procedural standards in the global climate architecture.
