In 2022, Jens Marquardt joined a workshop on democratic innovations at the Nordic Environmental Social Science Conference in Gothenburg. The participants explored how such innovations can – and cannot – promote sustainability transformations. Three years later, a collective research paper is finally out.

Dr. Jens Marquardt published a chapter on the links between populism, democracy and the Anthropocene. The chapter is part of a recently released “Handbook of Environmental Political Theory in the Anthropocene”, edited by Amanda Machin and Marcel Wissenburg.

A high-profile delegation from TU Darmstadt, led by Vice President for Innovation and International Affairs Prof. Dr. Thomas Walther, recently visited India to deepen institutional partnerships. The Faculty of History and Social Sciences joined this initiative, represented by Dr. Jens Marquardt.
