A New Old War? The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the transformation of political violence?

On 13th December 2022, the inaugural event “A New Old War? The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the transformation of political violence?” of the research center “Transformations of Political Violence” (TraCe) took place in Berlin.
The recording of the event is now available on the TraCe YouTube-Kanal.
During the kick-off event, scholars and practitioners exchanged views on the Russian war of aggression in two panels. Prof. Dr. Christopher Daase moderated the first panel on the transformation of political violence from a scientific perspective. In the second panel, Prof. Dr. Markus Lederer of the Technical University of Darmstadt moderated the political discourse on national security strategy and how it is affected by climate change and energy security issues.
