Municipal decision-making on housing and sustainability (HOUSUS)

The HOUSUS project comparatively examines discourses in local politics in Finnish and German cities with approx. 250,000 inhabitants (Kiel, Mainz, Wiesbaden, Oulo, Tampere and Turku). The aim is to identify variances in local discourses in the field of housing and climate policy. The project focuses on how political decisions are made in these two fields in the cities studied and how local politicians relate to the two issues.
